Hernandez Assisted Twice in Draw against Loudoun United FC
SAN ANTONIO (Mar. 12, 2024) – San Antonio FC midfielder Jorge Hernandez has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week after assisting twice in Saturday’s draw against Loudoun United FC.
The reigning Championship Golden Playmaker earns San Antonio’s first Team of the Week selection this season after recording two assists and had three chances created. After setting the club’s single-season assist record last season, Hernandez was the only player in the league with a multi-assist game on opening weekend. The midfielder also completed 29 of 35 passes and two of three dribbles in the draw.
Hernandez’s two assists bring his SAFC career total to 12, the third-most in club history.
Hernandez and SAFC are back in action Saturday as the team travels to take on the Tampa Bay Rowdies. Kickoff from Al Lang Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Golazo Network.
