Farr Posted Third-Straight USL Shutout, Garcia Made Five Clearances
SAN ANTONIO (April 26, 2022) – San Antonio FC goalkeeper Jordan Farr and defender Fabien Garcia have both been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week after strong performances in Saturday’s 1-0 road win over New Mexico United.
Farr makes it on the Team of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks, behind his third clean sheet in a row in USL Championship play. In the shutout, Farr made two saves to bring his season total to 16 on the season, second in the Western Conference. Additionally, Farr’s three clean sheets are tied for the most in the Western Conference.
Garcia earns a spot on the Team of the Week bench for the second week in a row, after contributing to another clean sheet. Garcia posted five clearances and a tackle, while blocking a shot and creating two scoring chances.
Farr and Garcia have each made the Team of the Week twice this season, joining Mitchell Taintor as the three SAFC players to earn the honors six times in four different weeks.
