San Antonio FC (4-0-2) tied FC Tulsa (2-0-3) 0-0 at ONEOK Field on Wednesday night. A strong defensive performance from the Alamo City club helped earn an important point to remain undefeated in the 2020 USL Championship season.
“It’s been three away games, three very good opponents and seven points for us,” said SAFC Head Coach Alen Marcina. “Also, another clean sheet tonight, and any time you get a clean sheet you put yourself in a position to win games. All in all, I am really proud of the guys.”
SAFC goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair earned SWBC Man of the Match honors after recording three saves and one claim en route to his third clean sheet of the season. The shutout marks the fourth in six matches for San Antonio.
SAFC midfielder PC led the team with four shots on the night while adding two tackles, two interceptions, and one clearance. On the attack, midfielder and San Antonio native Jose Gallegos recorded an 80 percent passing accuracy, two chances created, and six dribbles succeeded.
