San Antonio FC will start their U.S. Open Cup run on the road as the club continues to impress in USL play. SAFC is now the only undefeated club in the league and leads the Western Conference with 23 points. The club has scored 19 goals and conceded four, recording six clean sheets along the way.
The Dutch Lions head into the match after earning a 3-1 win against the North Texas Rayados in their first-round Open Cup matchup. The Conroe-based club is currently preparing to begin their 2017 NPSL campaign on May 20 against Houston Regals.
The match will be the Alamo City club’s fourth overall in U.S. Open Cup play and their first this season. SAFC previously earned wins against Corinthians FC SA (NPSL) and Des Moines Menace (PDL) before exiting the tournament after falling to the Houston Dynamo (MLS) in the 2016 edition of the tournament.
