San Antonio FC (6-5-6) earned a big three points against rivals RGV FC (8-5-4) after winning a fiercely contested 2-1 road match at H-E-B Park on Sunday night. Two goals from in-form striker Nathan helped the Alamo City club earn the victory.

Ultimately, the two teams entered the break with SAFC up 1-0.
After an uneventful start to the second half, SAFC found its second opportunity when Cuello slipped Nathan through with a perfect through ball. The Brazilian rounded the keeper and was taken down by the Bold stopper leading to San Antonio’s second penalty of the night. This time, Nathan stepped up to the spot and finished in the bottom corner to double the lead. SAFC wrapped up the points on another counter attack when Nathan found Gallegos in an advanced position before the San Antonio native slotted past the keeper for the third goal of the night.
With his goal, Nathan is now tied for the team-lead with five while Gallego’s strike was his second on the season. San Antonio FC will now travel to its second match of this upcoming four-game road stretch, heading to El Paso on Wednesday, August 4.
