Jamaican international joins the SAFC attack
SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 17, 2024) – San Antonio FC has signed forward Kameron Lacey, pending league and federation approval. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 23-year-old joins SAFC after a season with Minnesota United FC 2 in MLS Next Pro, appearing in 20 matches and leading the team with 10 goals and 30 shots on target. He was named MLS Next Pro Player of Matchday 15 after posting a hat trick against Portland Timbers 2.
Before beginning his professional career, Lacey was a standout at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, compiling 58 appearances, 17 goals and 14 assists. He recorded career highs in goals and assists during his senior campaign with the 49ers, earning first-team All-American Conference and second team All-East region honors in 2022.
Lacey has represented Jamaica at the U17, U20 and full international levels. Originally from Miami, he grew up playing in the Orlando City and FC Dallas academies, helping Orlando to a U17 Conference Championship and Dallas to a U19 Conference Championship.
San Antonio FC is currently preparing for training camp prior to kicking off the 2024 USL Championship season at home, hosting Loudoun United FC on Saturday, March 9.
