Forward has Appeared in Two Matches with the Loons in 2023
SAN ANTONIO (April 27, 2023) – San Antonio FC has acquired forward Tani Oluwaseyi on loan from Minnesota United FC of MLS, pending league and federation approval, the club announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are delighted to welcome Tani to the team and appreciate Minnesota for supplying the loan,” said SAFC head coach Alen Marcina. “Tani is a top athlete, who is a vertical runner with game-changing speed. On the ball he thrives in 1v1 attacking duels with the ability to create for himself and his teammates and has shown the ability to score goals. We are excited to integrate him as quickly as possible to our team identity.”
Oluwaseyi joins SAFC after appearing in two of Minnesota’s eight matches to start the 2023 season. The St. John’s product was selected 17th overall in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft, after contributing 20 goals and 10 assists in 49 collegiate matches. SAFC returns home this weekend for a return to USL Championship play against Las Vegas Lights FC on Saturday, April 29. Kickoff from Toyota Field is set for 7:30 p.m. CT, with tickets available at SanAntonioFC.com or the SAFC app.
