Quotes:
Head Coach Alen Marcina
(On the loss…)
“That was an incredibly difficult team, we know Phoenix is one of the best teams
in the league. They took their opportunities well, scored some nice goals. That
being said, we created a number of chances, but unfortunately tonight we weren’t
clinical enough in the boxes. It’s a little bit disappointing we didn’t leave here with
something, but we’ll learn, reflect and move on.”
(On the preparing for Houston on Wednesday…)
“I think we have to reflect. We did a lot of great things. The type of opportunities
we created were high, high percentage opportunities. Yes, we have to be more
clinical, we understand that. That being said, we have to go into Houston
confident, with the belief that we can go in there and win the game.”
(On the opportunity to bounce back quickly…)
“It’s a lot on the bodies, for such a small group. But at the same time this
team is really cohesive, ultra competitive… definitely resilient, and I’m sure they
want to put this game behind them. We learn from it, and then put our best foot
forward in Houston.”
