San Antonio FC (8-8-7) will face Saint Louis FC (7-9-8) on Saturday, Aug. 27 at World Wide Technology Soccer Park. The match will be the first time the two clubs face each other this season as both continue their push for a Western Conference playoff spot.
SAFC will look to earn their third consecutive win after earning two wins last week against Arizona United SC and Seattle Sounders FC 2. The club scored four goals while conceding two in those two matches, and recorded their fifth clean sheet of the season.
Saint Louis FC is currently searching for their first win since July 23. The team tied Swope Park Rangers 1-1 on Sunday after recording a loss and two draws despite scoring five goals combined in their previous three matches.
San Antonio FC is currently in eighth place in the Western Conference standings after jumping six places since the beginning of last week, and are leading 12th place Saint Louis by just two points. SAFC has scored 31 goals and conceded 29 this season, while Saint Louis has scored 29 and conceded 34.
The match will be the first of a two-match road trip for SAFC. The team will then travel to face Swope Park Rangers on Aug. 31 before returning to San Antonio to host Arizona United SC on Sept. 4 at Toyota Field.
