SAFC will head into the match after earning their first back-to-back wins in franchise history following two consecutive home wins – against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC 2-1 on June 18 and OC Blues FC 3-2 on June 23.
The club scored six goals in their last three matches after struggling to find the back of the net for three games prior to that, and picked up their first wins since April 30. The team will aim to continue their good form as they travel away from home.
Tulsa Roughnecks FC will play their second match in three days after earning three important points on July 1 when they beat Arizona United SC 3-2 at home. The win was the club’s first since May 8, and the first time the club has scored three goals in a single match this season.
San Antonio FC currently sit in 12th place on the league table and are within three points of a playoff spot, while the Roughnecks sit in 15th place after earning their third win of the season.
SAFC will aim to earn their third consecutive victory before heading back home on July 9 to host OKC Energy FC at Toyota Field in the third encounter between the two clubs.
