January 11, 2016
Welcome to the SAFC Mailbag. Each week starting on Monday, fans can submit their questions to San Antonio FC via the club’s social media channels. Then, on Wednesday of that week, the club will answer select questions from fans on www.sanantoniofc.com.
Be sure to continue submitting questions and yours could be answered in an upcoming edition of the SAFC Mailbag.
See below for this week’s SAFC Mailbag answers:
Jose Aldo Ramirez (@josesinho_10) via Twitter: will there be a new kit for 2017? And if so by when can we expect it?
www.sanantoniofc.com: Yes, there will be! For 2017, we will introduce a new secondary kit while continuing to wear our inaugural primary jerseys throughout the upcoming USL season. The brand new jerseys will be revealed at a special Season Ticket Member event on January 26, and will go on sale soon after. If you don’t want to miss the event where our new secondary kits are revealed, you have to become a Season Ticket Member! Call 210-444-5MLS for more information on season tickets.
Eleni Adamopoulos Vinson via Facebook: What is the release date for the 2017 schedule?
www.sanantoniofc.com: Earlier this week, the USL announced the 2017 conference alignment for the upcoming season. San Antonio FC will once again play in the USL Western Conference along with 14 other teams. With this announcement, it brings the 2017 schedule release one big step closer, and we anticipate the finalized 2017 schedule coming out in the next couple of weeks.
Loren Slater Jr. via Facebook: Are there any plans for more game day activities in the fan fiesta area?
www.sanantoniofc.com: Further enhancing the Fan Fiesta area of Toyota Field has been a significant goal for the club during the current offseason. We plan on having a more robust selection of activities, including interactive options for both children and adults, in that part of the stadium. We are always finding ways to improve our gameday experience, especially pregame, and the improvements we have planned for this area in 2017 will do just that.
Ryan Crenweige (@ASUramRC) via Twitter: Will there be more watch parties for away matches this year?
www.sanantoniofc.com: We plan on having more frequent watch parties for SAFC away matches in 2017. With our new SAFC Bar Network growing every day, there will be a number of unique and exciting venues to host an SAFC watch party this season. More details on exact dates and times of watch parties for the season will be released throughout the season.
Dominic Ochoa via Facebook: You gonna sign Billy or nah?
www.sanantoniofc.com: Yah, we totally did.
