SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 9, 2026) – San Antonio FC has signed goalkeeper Daniel Namani for the remainder of the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction was completed prior to the USL Championship Roster Freeze on Monday, Sept. 7.
“We’re glad to have Danny back with us in San Antonio,” said SAFC Head Coach Carlos Llamosa. “He’s a great human being both on and off the field and a strong competitor who will add valuable depth in goal for us the rest of the season.”
Namani previously signed a 25-day contract with the team on August 15, returning to San Antonio after spending his first pro season with the club in 2025. The Sugar Land, Texas, native made 11 saves and put up four clean sheets in 7 appearances with the club, including two back-to-back shutouts in the USL Cup to help SAFC go undefeated in group play in its first run in the tournament.
San Antonio FC takes a trip to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC this Friday, Sept. 11. Kickoff is set for 9:00 p.m. CT, and the match will be broadcast on ESPN+. The 2026 season is presented by Toyota.
