SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 29, 2026) – San Antonio FC defender Alex Crognale has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week bench following the squad’s 3-1 triumph over Indy Eleven over the weekend.
Crognale helped SAFC earn its 10th shutout of the regular season, contributing seven clearances, three interceptions and eight recoveries while winning six of seven duels to hold one of the league’s best offenses without a shot on target. The veteran center back leads the team in both clearances and blocks in his second year with the Alamo City club.
Crognale’s fourth selection gives San Antonio a total of 23 this season.
SAFC hosts German side SV Darmstadt 98 in an international friendly Tuesday, Sept. 29. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT, and the match will be streamed for free on the SAFC YouTube Channel. The 2026 season is presented by Toyota.
