
SAN ANTONIO (Aug. 15, 2026) – San Antonio FC has signed goalkeeper Daniel Namani to a 25-day contract, pending league and federation approval. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Namani returns to San Antonio after spending his first pro season with the club in 2025. The Sugar Land, Texas, native made 11 saves and put up four clean sheets in 7 appearances with the club in 2025, including two back-to-back shutouts in the USL Cup to help SAFC go undefeated in group play in its first run in the tournament. Prior to joining SAFC, he spent two seasons in USL League Two with Houston FC (2021-22) and also played previously at University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio.
San Antonio FC hosts El Paso Locomotive in a rivalry match to decide the 2026 Copa Tejas trophy today, with kickoff set for 8:00 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
