November 30, 2016
Welcome to the SAFC Mailbag. Each week starting on Monday, fans can submit their questions to San Antonio FC via the club’s social media channels. Then, on Wednesday of that week, the club will answer select questions from fans on www.sanantoniofc.com.
Be sure to continue submitting questions and yours could be answered in an upcoming edition of the SAFC Mailbag.
See below for this week’s SAFC Mailbag answers:
Al Infierno (@TxAldo) via Twitter: Can the new kits incorporate our crests’ military bars?
www.sanantoniofc.com: Moving forward, we currently have a plan to introduce a new kit each season, rotating from the primary to the secondary. For 2017, we will introduce a new secondary kit while continuing to wear our first-ever primary jerseys throughout the upcoming USL season. The reasoning behind this is to always introduce a fresh look each year while not forcing fans’ hands into having to purchase a new jersey each season to stay current with the club’s on-field look. We are excited to reveal our new secondary kit early in the new year, and are exploring the possibility of introducing a third alternate kit in the future. We have begun the design process for our 2018 primary kit, and the military bars are one of many design options we are exploring as we continue that process.
@wtfilament via Twitter: What is something that you learned from last season that you will do differently this season?
www.sanantoniofc.com: With our first season in the books, we are exploring a number of different things that we can do differently or potentially improve on. We would like to explore ways to further enhance our pregame atmosphere to coincide with the supporters’ tailgate that happened prior to each game. We are also always looking into new food and beverage options for our fans at Toyota Field, and we are using feedback from our supporters during this process. The club is also looking into ways to possibly tweak the game presentation in certain ways including more entertainment-based pregame and halftime festivities.
Daniel Perry via Facebook: What are y’all planning on doing to get more people to games next year?
www.sanantoniofc.com: We believe there is no better game-day environment in the USL than the one we present at Toyota Field. A big part of continuing to strengthen that environment is making every effort to fill the stadium to maximum capacity every single game. We are currently offering many different opportunities to get access to 2017 tickets, the best of which is our Season Ticket Membership, which offers the best pricing on guaranteed seats for every home game, as well as an extensive benefits package. We also offer special day-of-game experiences and discounts for groups of 10 or more. Other promotions currently launched include our Season Ticket Member Referral Program, a San Antonio Recreational Soccer Network, an SAFC Bar & Pub Network, and we will be launching partial-season ticket plans in January. All these initiatives are with the goal in mind of bringing more fans out to Toyota Field to make the SAFC environment the best it can be. For questions about tickets or any of these initiatives, please call 210-444-5MLS.
Samuel Brownlee (@HaggisCaliente) via Twitter: Is it true that Franck Tayou is a goal scoring machine sent back in time in order to get SAFC a championship in 2017?
www.sanantoniofc.com: Probably, man.
Adam James Shifflett via Facebook: Can I coach the team for 1 game?
www.sanantoniofc.com: Nah.
