San Antonio FC (9-11-8) will host Tulsa Roughnecks FC (5-18-4) at Toyota Field on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the team’s final home match of their inaugural regular season.
Coverage of the match will be available at www.sanantoniofc.com and the USL Match Center.
San Antonio FC will aim to earn a win at home after falling 0-2 to Real Monarchs SLC on Wednesday. The team has now recorded two consecutive losses after falling to an opponent by a margin larger than one goal for just the second time this season.
Tulsa Roughnecks will look to earn a win on the road after falling 3-0 at Swope Park Rangers last weekend. The team recorded six losses and one draw in their previous seven matches, where they scored two goals while conceding 15. The Roughnecks have not earned a win since July 30.
The match will be the third time the two clubs face each other as SAFC continue their push for a playoff position. San Antonio won both prior encounters, earning a 3-1 at Toyota Field on April 30, and a 2-1 win at Tulsa on July 3.
The Alamo City club is currently in 10th place in the standings, just three points away from a playoff spot, while the Roughnecks sit at the bottom of the table with 19 points. A win could put SAFC back into a playoff position as the team heads into their final match of the season.
San Antonio FC will play in front of their home fans for the last time in their inaugural regular season campaign before concluding the regular season in Edinburg, Texas as they visit in-state rivals Rio Grande Valley FC.
