San Antonio FC (2-4-4) will visit Rio Grande Valley FC (4-2-4) at UTRGV Soccer Complex on Saturday, June 4 at 7:30 p.m. The match will be the third edition of the South Texas Derby and the first time SAFC face RGV away from home.

SAFC will head into the match in good form after beating the Des Moines Menace (PDL) 2-1 in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup last Wednesday in a comeback sparked by goals from defender Sam McBride and forward Jacques Francois.
RGV FC currently sit in fifth place on the league table and earned a draw against St. Louis last Sunday, after visiting SAFC at Toyota Field last week. The club did not have an Open Cup match this week after being denied entry to the tournament in March.
The match will be the third time the two clubs face each other this season. SAFC will look to earn their first win against their in-state rivals after falling 3-2 in their first encounter and drawing 0-0 in the second. The team will travel to Edinburg, Texas for the first time in franchise history.
San Antonio FC will return to action on Saturday, June 11 when they face Portland Timbers II for the first time in club history. SAFC will return to U.S. Open Cup action just four days later as they take on the Houston Dynamo in the fourth round of the tournament.
