SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC has partnered with global soccer leader and iconic sports brand Nike Soccer as the club’s official uniform provider, SAFC Managing Director Tim Holt announced today. Nike Soccer will provide all of the player jerseys, training gear and athletic wear in the agreed multi-year deal.
The club also announced that The Soccer Factory, a San Antonio based soccer retailer, will be the official apparel headquarters of San Antonio FC.
“San Antonio FC is thrilled to join forces with Nike Soccer as we usher in a new era of professional soccer in the Alamo City,” said Holt. “Nike is an innovative sports company that leads through quality and performance, which is precisely what San Antonio FC strives to establish itself as within the American soccer landscape. It is with great pride that we will walk onto the pitch at Toyota Field for the first time on April 9 in our Nike kits.”
Nike Soccer, also an official partner to the USL, will provide SAFC player uniforms, training gear and performance wear for the professional team, as well as any future San Antonio FC developmental teams.
A leader in the global soccer industry, Nike Soccer is also the official and long-time supplier for the United States Soccer Federation, including the US Men’s and Women’s National Teams.
“We’re excited about our relationship with San Antonio FC,” said Joe Elsmore, Nike Sr. Director of North America Soccer Sports Marketing. “The USL is an important component to our strategy, and getting this partnership executed was a priority for Nike.”
With two prominent locations in San Antonio, The Soccer Factory will serve as the official apparel headquarters for SAFC merchandise. The company will work with San Antonio FC and Nike Soccer to develop and produce team apparel, including replica jerseys and fan gear.
“The Soccer Factory is the preeminent soccer retail destination in San Antonio and we are pleased to partner with them for our inaugural season,” said Holt. “As a result of this collaboration, San Antonio FC supporters will have access to premium team merchandise in-store, on gameday and online.”
Along with dedicated SAFC displays in their San Antonio-based locations, the club’s official apparel headquarters will manage online merchandise sales and operate gameday merchandising at Toyota Field.
“We want to thank the SAFC organization for giving The Soccer Factory the opportunity to continue to grow and service San Antonio Soccer,” said Soccer Factory Owner Lucy Ontiveros. “It’s a privilege and honor to be associated with a well-respected organization.”
San Antonio FC will debut its Nike primary jerseys in front of home supporters at Toyota Field on Saturday, April 9 against Swope Park Rangers, the USL affiliate of Sporting Kansas City. The alternate away kit will be introduced on Monday, March 14, and will be worn in the team’s first ever game at Sounders 2 in Seattle on Sunday, April 3.
