Season Opener Slated for March 9 at Toyota Field
SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 18, 2023) – San Antonio FC will open its 34-game 2024 USL Championship campaign at Toyota Field on Saturday, March 9 welcoming Loudon United to the Alamo City.
SAFC will play three of the team’s first four matches at Toyota Field, including a visit from the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday, March 23, whom they defeated 1-0 in last season’s Western Conference Quarterfinals. The team will host rival El Paso Locomotive on Wednesday, June 5. SAFC will close out the regular season with two games at Toyota Field, hosting Louisville City FC on Saturday, Oct. 19 followed by the season finale against Detroit City FC on Saturday, Oct. 26.
This 2024 season will consist of 34 games over 34 weeks (up from 32 weeks in previous seasons) to reduce the number of midweek games. San Antonio FC will play each Western Conference team twice – one home and one away. For the second consecutive season, SAFC will play each Eastern Conference team in 2024. Overall, SAFC will host 17 unique opponents over the club’s 17 regular season home matches – 16 of which will occur on Saturday nights.
