
The SAFC Pro Academy has added Oscar Munoz to its coaching staff for the 2019-20 season, the club announced today. Munoz will also serve as the SAFC Club Affiliate Coordinator and brings over 18 years of experience in youth player development to the club.
Munoz holds a USSF A License as well as a USSF National Youth License, and has served as a coach for several local youth clubs since 1999, including AC Storm, Lonestar SC, and most recently Classics Elite. Munoz also served as an assistant coach for the now-defunct San Antonio Scorpions during the 2014 season, in which the team won the NASL Championship.
Prior to his coaching career, Munoz spent 14 years playing professionally in Colombia, Guatemala, China, and the United States.
