SAN ANTONIO (August 11, 2026) – San Antonio FC midfielder Jorge Hernandez has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week following the squad’s draw on the road against Louisville Saturday.
Hernandez earned his selection after assisting the equalizing goal in the 78th minute, helping SAFC earn a point on the road. The midfielder added three chances created to his league-leading total and completed 49 of 57 passes, while contributing defensively with four recoveries, three interceptions and seven duels won in a strong two-way performance.
Hernandez leads SAFC with six Team of the Week selections this season, giving the team a total of 22.
San Antonio FC hosts Miami FC this Wednesday, Aug. 12, in the Prinx Tires USL Cup Quarterfinals. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT, and the match will be broadcast on ESPN+. The 2026 season is presented by Toyota.
