SAN ANTONIO (June 30, 2026) – San Antonio FC goalkeeper Joey Batrouni has been named USL Championship Fans’ Choice Midseason Goalkeeper of the Year, the league announced today.
The homegrown product has recorded 37 saves, tied for third-most in the league, with a 74% save percentage. In his second professional season, the 23-year-old has posted four shutouts and a Goals Prevented mark of -3.68 to help San Antonio to stay in the race for the Players’ Shield.
Batrouni and San Antonio FC return home to host Monterey Bay F.C. this Saturday, May 9. Kickoff is slated for 9:00 p.m. CT, and the match will be broadcast on CBS Sports Golazo Network. The 2026 season is presented by Toyota.
