San Antonio FC midfielder Jack Barmby was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week, the league announced today. Barmby scored two goals to help lead San Antonio FC to their largest win of the season – a 3-0 victory over the Tacoma Defiance last Friday.
Barmby started, played 88 minutes and created three chances in addition to his two goals scored. The England native also completed 63 of his 70 passes (90.0 percent) and won seven of his 10 total duels. The midfielder added two tackles and eight possessions gained as San Antonio won for the third time in their last four matches.
This marks the first inclusion in a USL Championship Team of the Week in 2019 for Barmby who originally joined SAFC in December. Overall this season, Barmby is tied with Ever Guzman and Bradford Jamieson IV with three goals to lead the team while his 15 chances created also rank first for San Antonio FC.
